To Leave Room for the Others

A symbolic action of repairing damaged and abounded house refers to the title of the projectTo Leave Room for the Others. It is is an artwork that I’ve developed during my residency stay at Artegiro Contemporary ART. Italian migrants, from the village Conzano in the hills on Monferato have had to migrate to Australia in the late 19th century to earn bread for their families as a sugarcane cutters and the statement left by many in the passport was To Leave Room for the Others.

The unavoidable passage of time , its wounds on separated families and its weathering of organic materials, is the thread that connects and unifies the concept.
