To Leave Room for the Others

A symbolic action of repairing damaged and abounded house refers to the title of the projectTo Leave Room for the Others. It is is an artwork that I’ve developed during my residency stay at Artegiro Contemporary ART. Italian migrants, from the village Conzano in the hills on Monferato have had to migrate to Australia in the late 19th century to earn bread for their families as a sugarcane cutters and the statement left by many in the passport was To Leave Room for the Others.

The unavoidable fact of time as influence on separated families causing the wounds and pain and the organic nature of material used for artworks and what will happen if exposed to time and different weather condition, is a chain that connects and unify the concept.
